Call for Applications: Nigeria PachiPanda Challenge 2025 for Youth and SMEs | Up to N6 Million Grant prizes
Nigeria faces pressing environmental challenges—from poor waste management and pollution to climate change impacts and biodiversity loss.
The Nigeria PachiPanda Challenge 2025 is an exciting call to action for young innovators and youth-led SMEs to design creative, practical, and sustainable solutions that can drive long-term environmental impact.
This initiative is powered by MTN Nigeria, in partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF, through the Nigerian Conservation Foundation – NCF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP Nigeria).
Participants stand the chance to access funding, gain nationwide recognition, and represent Nigeria on a continental stage.

Prizes for Winners
- 1st Prize: ₦3,000,000
- 2nd Prize: ₦2,000,000
- 3rd Prize: ₦1,500,000
Top winners will also earn the prestigious opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Africa PachiPanda Finale in South Africa (2025), where they will compete against champions from other African countries.
Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
- Individuals or teams (max 3 members) between the ages of 18–35.
- Youth-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are strongly encouraged to participate.
- Applicants must be committed to developing innovative, scalable, and sustainable solutions to Nigeria’s environmental challenges.

- National winners announced: 2025 (date to be shared with shortlisted applicants).
- Africa Finale in South Africa: 2025.
- Detailed program milestones will be communicated directly to shortlisted candidates.

Guidance for Applicants
To stand out in the competition, applicants should consider the following:
- Be problem-specific: Identify a real environmental issue in your community (e.g., waste management, deforestation, flooding, energy efficiency).
- Show sustainability impact: Demonstrate how your idea will create lasting, positive environmental and social change.
- Think scalability: Judges are looking for solutions that can be replicated or expanded to benefit multiple communities.
- Build strong teams: If applying as a team, combine diverse skills (e.g., sustainability, business, tech, design).
- Use visuals: A prototype, sketch, or clear process diagram will help communicate your solution better.
- Be original: Ensure your idea is unique, practical, and improves upon existing models or solutions.
