Job Summary
The Human Resource Officer will support the HR department in carrying out human resource management activities in line with Nigerian labour laws, donor requirements and Solidarités International’s internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Support monitoring of changes in the cost of living and socio-economic conditions.
- Support relationships with labour authorities and social security agencies.
- Communicate HR policies, memos and internal staff regulations.
- Help update organisational charts and HR reporting tools.
- Compile, verify and analyse HR data.
- Support the preparation of HR documents for audits.
- Monitor the working environment and report potential staff-related issues.
- Support social dialogue and staff complaint management.
- Contribute to the implementation of HR policies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of new staff.
- Assist with performance reviews and staff training.
- Maintain accurate HR records and databases.
- Verify payroll information and enter data into HR management systems.
- Prepare salary advance requests, payslips and timesheets.
- Support the preparation of monthly HR reports.
- Assist with calculations and documentation relating to taxes and social security contributions.
- Maintain confidential staff files and ensure proper physical and digital archiving.
- Prepare employment contracts, amendments and termination documents.
- Assist with monitoring work permits, residence permits and related documentation where applicable.
- Support HR compliance, internal controls and proper documentation.
- Contribute to preventing misconduct and promoting a safe and respectful working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the NGO, private or public sector.
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in an INGO.
- Fluency in English.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law.
- Good knowledge of archiving and records management.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Homere is an advantage.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to manage a demanding workload.
- Good learning ability and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
