Applications are now open for the Naija Feminists Media Editorial Fellowship on Reproductive Health 2026.
As part of its commitment to advancing feminist journalism and gender-focused reporting, Naija Feminists Media invites journalists and media professionals to apply for its 2026 Editorial Fellowship on Reproductive Health, organised in commemoration of the #16DaysOfActivism Against Gender-Based Violence.
Reproductive rights refer to the rights of individuals to make informed decisions about their bodies, sexuality, reproduction and reproductive health without discrimination, coercion or violence.
As part of the 2026 #16DaysOfActivism campaign, the fellowship will equip journalists with the tools, knowledge and mentorship needed to produce compelling journalistic work that challenges harmful or inaccurate narratives surrounding reproductive rights and contributes to systemic change.

Each fellow will produce a story exploring reproductive rights, including lived experiences, contributing factors, barriers to access and potential solutions. The stories will aim to educate the public, promote legislative and institutional accountability, and contribute to meaningful change.
Fellows’ stories will be published during the 16 Days of Activism campaign.

Eligibility

Applicants are required to submit a 200-word pitch outlining a story idea they would like to pursue on reproductive rights.
