This year’s theme celebrates the creativity, resilience, and resourcefulness of young minds working to create lasting impact in cassava production, processing, and marketing.

Whether you’re developing cutting-edge technology, introducing sustainable farming methods, or building market-driven solutions — this is the stage for your vision!

Competition Focus Areas

Entries should fall under one or more of the following categories:

Production Innovation: Tools, techniques, or technologies that increase productivity, improve soil health, reduce labor, or enhance climate resilience.
Processing Efficiency: Scalable solutions that boost processing speed, minimize energy use, or enable new cassava-based product innovations.
Market Development: Creative approaches that connect stakeholders in the cassava value chain, expand consumer awareness, or boost demand for cassava products.

1st Prize: ₦2,000,000 + Business Development Support
2nd Prize: ₦1,000,000 + Business Development Support
3rd Prize: ₦800,000 + Business Development Support
4th Prize: ₦700,000 + Business Development Support

Winners will also benefit from tailored mentorship and exposure to key stakeholders in Nigeria’s agriculture and agri-tech ecosystem.

Who Can Apply?

Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 35 years
Individuals or teams with original ideas relevant to Nigeria’s cassava sector
Applicants must be available to pitch their solution live in Abuja on June 28, 2025, during the World Cassava Day celebration

Your idea should be rooted in real-world challenges, present practical and scalable solutions, and reflect cultural awareness or community engagement.

Innovations can be tech-based or low-tech but must aim to drive meaningful impact.
