Call for Applications: UBA National Essay Competition 2025 | Win N10 million educational grant
The National Essay Competition, targeted at senior secondary students in Nigeria, is organised annually, as part of UBA Foundation’s education initiative which aims to promote the reading culture and encourage healthy and intellectual competition amongst secondary school students in Nigeria and across Africa.

Eligibility Criteria for the UBA National Essay Competition 2025
- Must be a Nigerian Senior Secondary School Student.
- Complete application form.
- Upload a handwritten essay of 750 words max (not typed).
- Upload a recent passport photograph.
- Upload a scanned copy of Birth Certificate, National ID, or International Passport.
Prize
- Winner: N10,000,000 Educational grant to any African University
- 1st Runner Up: N7,500,000 Educational grant to any African University
- 2nd Runner Up: N5,000,000 Educational grant to any African University.

- 1st Stage: Call for entries – 12 best essays to be selected
- 2nd Stage: Final physical test – Winner, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up
